Brother-Captain Tycho

Commander of the Blood Angels' Third Company, and later a Brother-Captain, Tycho was instrumental in the Second War for Armageddon. In this conflict half of his face severely mutilated. From then on Tycho wore a gold mask covering the afflicted half of his face. This incident is most likely based on the life of Tycho Brahe, the 17th century philosopher who's nose was cut off in a swordfight. Like the Blood Angel Tycho, the astronomer wore a metalic prostesus to cover his face.

The Brother-Captain was slain during the 3rd battle of armagedon after being order to command the Blood Angels fighting there by Dante.
