[edit] Origins

The Chaos Gods were originally developed in the world from the emotions of intelligent creatures. Khorne, Slaanesh, Tzeentch, and Nurgle were developed and evolved from anger, joy, hope, and despair respectively.

[edit] Gods

[edit] Khorne

Khorne is known as the Chaos god of war, battle and violent death, depicted as a demon of terrifying power, sitting on a brass throne atop a mountain of skulls, thus: "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!" The Bloodthirster represents his master in the material realm. He dislikes magic, and therefore does not get along well with Tzeench; however this is nothing compared to his hatred for Slaanesh.  Khorne and his followers desire that all life in the galaxy should die in a swift, brutal and violent death, which is at odds with Slaanesh, the god of pleasure, whose creed demands that every experience of life should be experienced fully and that death should be, if anything, slow and painful.

[edit] Slaanesh

Slaanesh is the god of cruel passions and pain. Slaanesh is the enemy of all Eldar, because he was created at the fall of the old Eldar Empire. Slaanesh has a beauty that no living mortal can resist. Slaanesh detests and doesn't understand Khorne, since Slaanesh's way is to experience agony and all the depraved sensations of life, while Khorne simply wants to kill without pause.

[edit] Tzeentch

Tzeentch is the Chaos god of time and control, and change and sorcery, virtually every event in the galaxy was concoted by Tzeentch himself, He is also the one who brokers most alliances between the four powers. He despises and is likewise despised by Nurgle (who represents uncontrolled change).

[edit] Nurgle

Nurgle is the Chaos god of rot and decay, Nurgle and Tzeentch are mortal enemies, while Tzeentch represents progress, Nurgle represents decay and rot. Nurgle is at odds with Tzeentch (who signified controlled and planned change).
