[edit] Early Days
Commander Brightsword (Shas'o Li'M'Sa) was brought up by Por'ui Dey'Sem'A and Aun'la Hui on the world of Vior'la. He was trained to be a Fire Warrior at the age of 16 and followed his idol, Commander Farsight. He rose quickly in the ranks by fighting numerous Ork Waaaaghs! on Kroot worlds and he did so well he even got a lecture with the legendary Commander Puretide.
[edit] Commander Farsight and the Arkunasha War
After a while, Brightsword was transferred to Arkunasha to follow Commander Farsight against a humongous Waaaagh!
After several months of fighting thousands of Orks, Brightsword came face to face with the Ork Warboss. Grinning a toothy grin, the Warboss lunged at Brightsword's Crisis Suit but he flew out of the way and heated his Plasma Rifle. He flew down and brought against the Ork's head and it was so hot it went straight through him. And as two Ork halves fell to the sandy ground, Commander Farsight gave him his rank and name.
After several more months the planet was finally cleared of Ork menace.
[edit] The Koloth Gorge Massacre
After Farsight went rogue Brightsword was torn between following him and serving the Greater Good. He reluctantly followed the Tau'Va and became commander of the force that attacked the weakened Imperial world of Nimbosa and destroyed most of the Imperial Guard forces by wearing down their attacks against his men. Finally, in a desperate assault against his soldiers, they went down the Koloth Gorge. Brightsword surrounded them and destroyed not only two Cadian regiments but also a company of the Imperial Fists Space Marine Chapter.
Although the Tau won, Brightsword was called to the Sage Council on T'au and was stripped of his rank and his colors.

Humiliated, Brightsword stole a ship and fled, looking for one of Farsight's Enclaves. But he had to stop to refuel on Fi'ri'os and so the newly appointed Commander Shadowsun and her soldiers caught up with him. In the middle of a street on a city on Fi'ri'os, Brightsword unsheathed a knife, cried "For Farsight!" and charged Shadowsun. Shadowsun replied by making her Fusion Blasters do the talking for her.
Nothing was left of Brightsword.
