The Dhonovar Heavy Armour are regiments of the Astra Militarum raised from the world of Dhonovar who utilise mostly heavy battle tanks in combat. Five companies of Dhonovar Heavy Armour were deployed in the defence of Cadia and its surrounding star systems in the Cadian Gate from the Forces of Chaos under the command of Abaddon the Despoiler and his 13th Black Crusade in 999.M41. They were instrumental in aiding Lord Castellan Ursarkar E. Creed's Long Retreat, which allowed the Imperial defenders to make their final stand against an offensive led by Abaddon himself before the fall of Cadia. Little else is known about them in current Imperial records.
