Purple flames and Silver flames consuming the souls of the righteous the guilty alike, judging who is pure and who will be cast into the everlasting fires of perdition, and cleansing sin from the souls and bodies of those who may be saved and in salvation, be redeemed that they may go forth in victorious redemptory fervor against those who do not submit to the divine ruler of the race of Mankind, which may be assemled like an army, loyal only to the Emperor, and to the Emperor all of his servants high and low. Hail thee the Emperor. Do you hear in his silence that he is the ruler of all the galaxy and that his will must be listened to and engraved upon thy soul as a great artisen engraves the runes of power upon the side of a great war machine which grinds a path of righteous power, treading over those who do no hear and heed the words of truth that the Emperor speaks in his divine silence.
The Dragon Corps is a company of the Ultramarines. A single company was sent out to the outer planets to serve as outpost defenders against an Ork-Tyranid attack. Over a thousand years they lost contact with their Ultramarine brothers, eventually developing their own culture. They grew less orthodox and strayed from the Codex as it suited them. They decided to call themselves the Dragon Corps because they had began to notice changes in their bodies, bony ridges along their arms and horn like crests developed as a Marine reached a great age. Some can even breath fire as hot a promethium. Their chapter world is called Draconis Megadark CCXI
They were involved in a long drawn out war with an unknown alien race, who looked similar to upright reptiles. The war almost wiped out the chapter. They started hanging mementos of their enemies on their armor. They felt they channeled the spirit of the enemy they respected for its ferocity. The war has long since ended, but the chapter has taken the dragon as a symbol of power. The head of the chapter is said to wear the skin of the enemy leader as a cape while he rules his chapter. The chapter colors are purple armor with silver highlights.
