This is a pictorial list of known Space Marine Chapters (A-L) created by Games Workshop. It does not include the nine Traitor Legions.

However, it does include Renegade Chapters of Chaos Space Marines as well as those Space Marine Chapters considered Excommunicate Traitoris by the High Lords of Terra, whether they serve the Dark Gods or not.

This cannot be considered a complete list as not every Chapter in existence in the Imperium of Man is known.

Crimson Sabres SP
Crimson Sabres The Crimson Sabres were once a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter created during the mysterious 13th Founding, the so-called "Dark Founding," which occurred sometime between M35 and M36. Problems culminated with the genocidal war on the jungle world of Umidia. The Chapter soon found themselves cursed by the Chaos God Khorne, forever haunted by the fell voices of the slain even after the combat had ended. Fleeing to the Eye of Terror to seek an honourable death, they became fully corrupted by the Dark Gods. When they returned to realspace, they had become the Chaos warband known as the Crimson Slaughter.

Guardians of the Covenant The Guardians of the Covenant is a Successor Chapter of the Dark Angels, of an unknown Founding. This Chapter is as dedicated to the scholarly arts as to the ways of war. Masters of both, the battle-brothers of this Chapter use their keen intellects as a weapon as sharp as their Chainswords. The Chapter's Astartes study the teachings of the Emperor and of their Primarch Lion El'Jonson in minute detail, attaining a unique perspective on the object of their diligent studies. Every shred of ancient wisdom is absorbed, debated and analysed, so that no ruse or stratagem is beyond the Guardians of the Covenant, and none may better them on the field of battle.

Lamenters Battle-Brother
Lamenters Livery
Lamenters The Lamenters are an unfortunate Loyalist Space Marine Successor Chapter of the Blood Angels, created during the 21st Founding, known as the "Cursed Founding". It seems the gene-seed Flaws known as the Black Rage and the Red Thirst were cured by the Chapter through unknown means, but this secret cure may have been lost along with the Chapter at the hands of the Great Devourer. Perhaps more than any other Chapter of the present era the Lamenters seem to have been cursed by a dark shadow that has long determined their fate. They found themselves on the wrong side during the Badab War and were thereafter devastated by the Tyranids.

These are used to perform surgical strikes or seize strategic points with the aid of fast-moving Razorbacks or Rhinos. Like their fellow Chapters the Angels of Fury and the Raven Guard, the Legion of Night has forged their combat doctrine around such highly mobile insurgent tactics.
