First Founding

The First Founding was made in M29. 20 Space Marine Legions were created from the gene-seed of the 20 Primarchs created in the Primarch project. In spite of the fact that the Primarchs were seperated from The Emperor, he managed to keep a small amount of their Gene-seeds, and use these to create the first Space Marines. With each Primarch he found on the Great Crusade, their legion grew and set up their headquarters on the Primarch's homeworld. They would then recruit new Space Marines from this planet.
