The Legio Annihilator was a Loyalist Titan Legion of the Collegia Titanica, one of the military arms of the Adeptus Mechanicus. There is very little information in Imperial records about this obscure Titan Legion, though it is suspected to have been founded before the Age of the Imperium, during the Age of Strife.

Legion History

Little is known of the origins of the Legio Annihilator except of its actions during the valiant defence of the Forge World of Megyre in 995.M41 from the Tyranid Hive Fleet Jormungandr. It is assumed that the Legio Annihilator was itself nearly annihilated. Its current status since this campaign is unknown.

A Loyalist Titan

  • Defence of Megyre (995.M41) - When the Forge World of Megyre was threatened by Hive Fleet Jormungandr in 995.M41, the Legio Annihilator was Megyre’s last hope. Its mighty Titans boldly strode through the Tyranid horde, scattering the various bio-forms, but the Hive Mind was not so easily beaten. Not even able to celebrate their short-lived victory, the Legion’s Princeps were faced with a new threat. Resembling a Trygon, the massive Tyranid creature was the size of a Reaver-class Titan. This vile Bio-Titan rent through the ranks of the Legio Annihilator, first ripping apart a Warhound-class Titan without effort, then tearing a hole through the remaining war engines of the Legion. Nothing could stay the Bio-titan’s savage advance, including the war engines of the Legio Annihilator. It was only the mighty ordnance of the Basilica Mechanicus that possessed the fury to bring the beast down. Even then, the death throes of the monster tore great swathes out of the Basilica’s walls, allowing for swarms of Ravagers to flood into the complex and seal the fate of the doomed Forge World.
