List of Space Marine Chapters

This is a list of official Space Marine Chapters created by Games Workshop. It does not include any fan-created Chapters, though it does include the Traitor Legions and other Renegade Chapters of Chaos Space Marines as well as those Space Marine Chapters considered Excommunicate Traitoris by the High Lords of Terra whether they serve the Dark Gods or not. This is not a complete list as not every Chapter in existence in the Imperium of Man is known.

Angels Eradicant	Unknown	Unknown	The Angels Eradicant are a Loyalist Codex Astartes-compliant Space Marine Chapter of unknown origin and Founding. Virtually nothing is known about this obscure Chapter within the official Imperial archives.
Angels Numinous	Blood Angels	Unknown	The Angels Numinous are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter and a Successor Chapter of the Blood Angels created during an unknown Founding. Almost nothing is known about this Chapter in Imperial records. Created as they were from the Blood Angels' gene-seed, they too, carry the genetic Flaws inherited from Sanguinius. Like many of their contemporary Successor Chapters Founded in later centuries, the Angels Numinous were greatly affected by the genetic flaws of their Blood Angels' heritage, the Black Rage and the Red Thirst. When a Battle-Brother falls to the throes of the Black Rage he is placed within the ranks of the Chapter's Death Company. Unlike their forebears, the Angels Numinous are known to take a much harsher, punitive attitude to their battle-lost brothers, hurling their Death Companies into battle with no concern for their afflicted Battle-Brothers' lives and using them as a blunt instrument to break enemy front lines no matter the cost. The Angels Numinous' Chaplains have displayed such merciless disregard many times across the span of millennia.

However, unlike their fellow Unforgiven, the Angels of Absolution feel that their shame in the eyes of the Emperor of Mankind has already been wiped away and they have earned his absolution, which has also led to them forgoing the use of the term "Unforgiven" in relation to themselves. As might be expected, this stance produces some conflict when the Angels of Absolution undertake joint operations with the Dark Angels and their fellow scions of Lion El'Jonson.

Angels of Vigilance	Unknown	Second Founding	The Angels of Vigilance are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter believed to have been created during the Second Founding from an unknown origin.
Angels Penitent	Blood Angels	Second Founding	The Angels Penitent are a Codex Astartes-compliant Loyalist Successor Chapter of the Blood Angels, created during an unknown Founding. Prior to the arrival of the mysterious individual known only as the "Undying Martyr," the Chapter was known as the Angels Resplendent. Many amongst this Chapter were once fine artisans, echoing their genetic forebears. While other Chapters fought for glory, faith or the sheer joy of slaughter, the Angels Resplendent had made nobility its creed. Alone amongst the scions of Sanguinius, this Chapter had been entirely free of the madness that haunted the Angel's bloodline. No Space Marine in the blue and gold had ever succumbed to the Black Rage. But while interrogating the mortal interloper called the Undying Martyr, the Chapter's Chaplains had listened to the stranger's new insights into the Imperial Creed and to his denunciation of the irredeemable corruption of Mankind and the Adeptus Astartes' complicity in the degeneration of the Imperium. Swayed by the mortal's passionate words, a new zeal struck the Angels Resplendent, and the Chapter began what it called the Great Purge, the elimination of all activities and items considered blasphemy under their new and puritanical interpretation of the Imperial Creed. Fired by a burning urgency to earn redemption for Mankind's and the Astartes' collective sins in the sight of the God-Emperor, the Angels Resplendent renamed themselves the Angels Penitent. They allowed themselves to be ruled by the Crown of Thorns, a ruling conclave made up of the Chapter's Chaplains, who severely punished any brother who dared to break their edicts. Another worrying symptom of the new order was that the Battle-Brothers of the Chapter are now prone to falling victim to the genetic curse known as the Black Rage. It now appears that this curse flourishes freely enough to warrant the Chapter raising a Death Company of its own.

Angels Resplendent	Unknown	Unknown	The Angels Resplendent are a little known Codex Astartes-compliant Loyalist Successor Chapter of the Blood Angels, created during an unknown Founding. Many amongst this Chapter were once fine artisans, echoing their genetic forebears. While other Chapters fought for glory, faith or the sheer joy of slaughter, the Angels Resplendent had made nobility its creed. Alone amongst the scions of Sanguinius, this Chapter had been entirely free of the madness that haunted the Angel's bloodline. No Space Marine in the blue and gold had ever succumbed to the Black Rage. Recently, the arrival of a strange mortal known as the "Undying Martyr" led to the Chapter's conversion to a puritanical variant of the Imperial Creed. The Angels Resplendent renamed themselves the Angels Penitent, banned the production of all forms of art, and have dedicated themselves to the elimination of all sin and the castigation of all sinners, whether they be mortal or Astartes.
Angels Revenant	Ultramarines	8th Founding	The Angels Revenant are a Codex Astartes-compliant Loyalist Space Marine Chapter and a Successor Chapter of the Ultramarines. This Chapter's origins can be traced to the 8th Founding which allegedly occurred during the mid-34th Millennium, undertaken amid the dark times of the Nova Terra Interregnum, when the Imperium of Man had been split into twin interstellar empires. Ultimately, the Angels Revenant met their fate with the rise of the Necron Maynarkh Dynasty within the Orpheus Sector of the Segmentum Tempestus in 991.M41. It is believed that no more than a few hundred Angels Revenant survived the Necron assault upon their Chapter homeworld. The only survivors were those members of the Chapter who were far from the Orephus Sector on Crusade.

Theirs is a long and glorious history, having been pivotal in many victories against the Chaotic horrors that have emerged from the Eye of Terror. Their only notable engagement was when they were ordered to engage the Tyranids Echidna Splinter Fleet sometime during the 41st Millennium.

The Astral Knights sacrificed their entire Chapter in 926.M41 to destroy the hideous threat to the Imperium called the Worldengine in the Vidar Sector. This Necron weapon was a planet-sized spacecraft, armed with Gauss Projectors capable of scorching entire planets of all life on their surface.
Aurora Chapter	Ultramarines	Second Founding	The Aurora Chapter is a Loyalist Chapter of Space Marines of disputed Founding that is a Successor Chapter of the Ultramarines. The Armoury of the Chapter boasts more Predators and Land Raiders than any three other Loyalist Space Marine Chapters combined and they are thus specialised in armoured assaults. Their name has become a byword for armoured assault across the Ultima Segmentum of the Imperium of Man that serves as their primary area of operations.

Black Consuls	Ultramarines	Second Founding	The Black Consuls are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter that were a Second Founding Successor or Primogenitor Chapter of the Ultramarines. The Black Consuls were recorded as having been annihilated at the Siege of Goddeth Hive in 455.M41 by elements of the Word Bearers Traitor Legion. Their current status is unknown, though Imperial records indicate that a force of Black Consuls is still operating in the Jericho Reach as part of the Achilus Crusade.
Black Crusaders	Unknown	Unknown	The Black Crusaders are a little-known Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of unknown Founding and origin. Almost nothing is known about this Chapter in the Imperial records. The Black Crusaders were known to have been involved in an Imperial campaign in which they attacked an Ork enclave on the planet of Guilus II, and were the first to encounter the Grot Bomm Launcha.
Black Dragons	Unknown	Cursed 21st Founding	The Black Dragons are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter from the Cursed 21st Founding. Their gene-seed is defective and riddled with mutation. Specifically, the Black Dragons' mutated Ossmodula organ can lead to the development of bony crests on the heads and arms of certain Space Marines of the Chapter. The affected Black Dragons Marines are formed into special units known as Dragon Claws.
Black Guard	Raven Guard	Second Founding	The Black Guard are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter and a rare Raven Guard Successor Chapter of the Second Founding. Much of this Chapter's history has been lost to Imperial records.
Black Inculpators	Unknown	Unknown	The Black Inculpators are a Codex Astartes-compliant Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of unknown Founding and origin. Almost nothing is known about this Chapter in the Imperial records.
Black Templars	Imperial Fists	Second Founding	The Black Templars are a Loyalist Second Founding Space Marines Chapter derived from the Imperial Fists' gene-seed and their Primarch, Rogal Dorn. Their origin can be traced back to the Imperial Fists’ defence of Terra during the Horus Heresy. Since that time, the Black Templars have been on the longest Crusade the Imperium of Man has ever known to prove their loyalty to the Emperor of Mankind.
Black Wings	Unknown	Unknown	The Black Wings are a Loyalist Codex Astartes-compliant Space Marine Chapter of unknown origins and Founding. Little else is known of this Chapter's history within the Imperial archives.
Blood Angels	N/A	First Founding	The Blood Angels are one of the 20 First Founding Legions of the Space Marines. They are well known for their bloodthirsty nature in battle, and feared for the curse of flawed gene-seed they carry. The Blood Angels are among the longest-lived of the Adeptus Astartes, with some of the Chapter's Space Marines having served the Emperor of Mankind for over a thousand standard years. Thanks to recent events, the Blood Angels' numbers have been severely depleted. Under the threat of extinction, and in order to quickly replenish their numbers, the Blood Angels were forced to ask their kindred Successor Chapters from subsequent Astartes Foundings for a tithe of warriors from the related Chapters' pools of Neophytes, their candidate Space Marines. With these tithes of new recruits, the Blood Angels were more quickly able to replenish their losses, though they still face a time of trial like none the Chapter has known since the days of the Horus Heresy.
Blood Drinkers	Blood Angels	Second Founding	The Blood Drinkers are a Loyalist Space Marines Chapter and a Second Founding Successor Chapter of the Blood Angels. The name "Blood Drinkers" comes from the Chapter's craving for blood, the result of a mutated omophagea gene-seed organ. The Blood Drinkers Chapter Master is Orloc, who participated alongside his Battle-Brothers in the heroic defence of the Blood Angels' homeworld of Baal from the Forces of Chaos and the Tyranids in 999.M41.
Blood Legion	Blood Angels	Unknown	The Blood Legion are a Loyalist Space Marine Successor Chapter of the Blood Angels that were created during an unknown Founding. Almost nothing is currently known about this Chapter in Imperial records.
Blood Ravens	Unknown	Unknown	The Blood Ravens are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of unknown origins and Founding. The origins of the Blood Ravens are shrouded in mystery. This elusive Chapter has always been drawn to the pursuit of knowledge and the acquisition of ancient lore and produces an unusually high number of Librarians among its ranks as a high proportion of Neophytes develop psychic abilities soon after their implantation with the Blood Ravens' gene-seed organs. The powerful Blood Ravens Librarians guide the Chapter, enabling them to fight with a precision and calculated fury made possible by their ability to predict and thwart their enemy's strategies and tactics before they come to pass. These arcane powers have led to great speculation and some worry about the true nature and origins of this Chapter in the rest of the Imperium of Man.
Blood Swords	Unknown	Unknown	The Blood Swords are a Codex Astartes-compliant Loyalist Space Marine Chapter that was created using the gene-seed of the Blood Angels. The Blood Swords' Founding date is not known. The Blood Swords' homeworld is the planet Jaggafall. The Blood Swords Chapter is unique among the Space Marines in that for a time its Chapter Master, Daggan, was actually a Venerable Dreadnought. Currently, the Blood Swords have joined with the Star Dragons Chapter to travel the wastes of space near the Eye of Terror in a joint containment fleet designated Containment Fleet Kappa. For centuries these two Chapters had frequently joined forces when a given situation demanded it. The close proximity of their homeworlds of Jaggafall and Draconith had given them great reason to remain cordial and closely allied. Sometime in its recent history the Blood Swords Chapter was torn from its homeworld. This act of shame resulted in the Chapter undertaking a Penitent Crusade in order to redeem themselves in the eyes of the Emperor of Mankind. In the wake of the act of shame that saw the Blood Swords torn from their homeworld the Star Dragons had moved to support them.
Brazen Claws	Iron Hands	Second Founding	The Brazen Claws are a Loyalist Second Founding Successor Chapter of the Iron Hands Legion. The Chapter recently emerged from a twenty-year-long ill-conceived Crusade of Venegeance in the Eye of Terror against the Traitor Legions and other Forces of Chaos. Some portions of the Chapter were corrupted during that struggle, though the majority of its Battle-Brothers remain free of Chaotic taint.
Bone Knives	Unknown	Unknown	The Bone Knives are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of unknown Founding and origin. Almost nothing is known about this Chapter in the Imperial records except for their participation in the Nusquam Fundimentibus Campaign in 941.M41. At the request of Inquisitor Amberley Vail of the Ordo Xenos, the Bone Knives Chapter deployed a Strike Cruiser in support of an Imperial relief expedition to reinforce the Valhallan 597th and Nusquan 1st Imperial Guard regiments against a Tyranid outbreak on Nusquam Fundimentibus. However the Strike Cruiser did not arrive until just after Ciaphas Cain, regimental Commissar to the 597th, and his aide Ferik Jurgen detonated the geothermal power station of the capital city Primadelving, causing a volcanic eruption that incinerated a Hive Ship fragment at the city's core and ending the threat to the Damocles Gulf. A Bone Knives Thunderhawk gunship subsequently rescued Cain and Jurgen from the Ice World's surface and ferried them to safety.
Brazen Minotaurs	Unknown	Unknown	The Brazen Minotaurs are a Loyalist, Codex Astartes-compliant Space Marine Chapter of unknown Founding and origin. Their Chapter homeworld is called Tauron. Little of substance is known about the Chapter in Imperial records, though what is known is that the Chapter has worked closely with the Raven Guard Chapter on several occasions, and a close relationship has developed between the two as a result. The Brazen Minotaurs are only concerned with the destruction of their foes in as quick and as clean a way as possible. They prefer to meet their enemies head-on, looking them in the eyes before taking their lives. The Chapter’s strategies are not subtle. They do not need to understand their enemy since such knowledge is unnecessary in order to strike him down. The Chapter possesses an unwavering and unquestioning approach to battle as they storm their way to victory after victory in the name of the Emperor. The Brazen Minotaurs always act as a fist of iron driven into the very heart of the enemy.
Brazen Skulls	Unknown	Unknown	The Brazen Skulls were a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of unknown Founding and origin. Almost nothing is known about this Chapter in the Imperial records. Their only notable engagement was when they took part in the Sabbat Worlds Crusade fighting in support of the reincarnated Saint Sabbat. The Brazen Skulls were eventually wiped out as a Chapter by 773.M41.
Brothers Penitent	Unknown	Unknown	The Brothers Penitent is one of the Loyalist Space Marine Chapters Founded as part of the Astartes Praeses - one of the 20 Chapters of Astartes mentioned in the ancient tome known as the Mythos Angelica Mortis that was created to defend the regions surrounding the Eye of Terror in the Segmentum Obscurus from the Forces of Chaos. The Brothers Penitent are of an unknown Founding and origin. Though this Chapter works alongside those of the Astartes Praeses, they have a reputation for being insular in nature.
Brotherhood of a Thousand	Unknown	Unknown	The Brotherhood of a Thousand is a Loyalist Codex Astartes-compliant Chapter of unknown origin and Founding.
Brothers of the Red	Blood Angels	Unknown	The Brothers of the Red are a now-extinct Loyalist Space Marine Chapter and a Successor Chapter of the Blood Angels, created during an unknown Founding. Almost nothing is known about this Chapter in Imperial records. Created as they were from the Blood Angels' gene-seed, they too, carried the genetic Flaws inherited from their Primarch Sanguinius. Like many of their contemporary Successor Chapters Founded in later centuries, the Brothers of the Red were greatly affected by the genetic flaw of their Blood Angels' heritage, the Black Rage, which eventually led to their Chapter being fatally undone and their inevitably extinction.

Carcharodons	Raven Guard (Unconfirmed)	23rd Founding	The Carcharodons are a Loyalist Space Marines Chapter of brutal reputation that was Founded during the 23rd Founding. They are a suspected Successor Chapter of the Raven Guard. The Carcharodons participated in the latter stages of the Badab War. They were a fleet-based Chapter until in recompense for their role in the Badab War they were given control over the Mantis Warriors Chapter's territory in the Maelstrom Zone of the Ultima Segmentum, a group of Feral and Feudal Worlds called the Endymion Cluster. The Carcharodons may actually be the same Chapter as the Space Sharks; the term Carcharodons may simply be a fragment of their name translated into High Gothic for that same unit of Astartes.
Carmine Blades	Blood Angels	Unknown	The Carmine Blades are a Loyalist Space Marine Successor Chapter of the Blood Angels, created during an unknown Founding. Hailing from the Feral World of Haldroth, this Chapter were originally named the Swords of Haldroth. Indeed, the Carmine Blades are a Chapter who passed, perhaps accidentally, as descendants of the Ultramarines Legion for a considerable time, until a chance meeting with High Chaplain Astorath the Grim in late M.41 revealed the truth behind their origins. The Carmine Blades had at last an answer for the strange symptoms that they had worked so hard to conceal from those around them -– they now had a name for the Red Thirst and Black Rage that they had hitherto been unable to explain. Created as they were from the Blood Angels' gene-seed, these genetic Flaws inherited from Sanguinius greatly afflicted the Chapter like many of the Blood Angels' contemporary Successor Chapters founded in later centuries.
Celebrants	Unknown	Unknown	The Celebrants Chapter was Founded during the 36th Millennium. It is unknown what Chapter provided their gene-seed. Their only mention in Imperial history is that they were ordered to withdraw from the world of Phaethon IV and instead to take up garrison duty on the Ecclesiarchy's Cardinal World of Nedicta Secundus to protect the holy relics of the Adeptus Ministorum found there from the ravages of the Tyranid Hive Fleet Kraken.
Celestial Guard	Crimson Fists	25th Founding	The Celestial Guard are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter created during the 25th Founding from the gene-seed of the Crimson Fists. Their Chapter homeworld is called Erenon and is a storm-shrouded Ocean World located to the galactic northwest of Nocturne.
Celestial Lions	Imperial Fists	Unknown	The Celestial Lions are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter raised in the 38th Millennium during an unknown Founding as a Successor Chapter of the Imperial Fists. The Chapter has a long and glorious history, stretching back over 4,000 standard years, but events set in motion over a decade ago during a routine assault on the world of Khattar in 988.M41 may now prove to be the Chapter's undoing in the wake of the events that unfolded during the Third War for Armageddon. The Celestial Lions are deeply distrustful of the motives and methodology employed by the Inquisition, and are vocal opponents of its recent actions during the Khattarn Insurrection. This political opposition and demand for investigations into the Inquisition's dealings has raised the hackles of many important people within the Imperium's most senior circles. This may have contributed to the recent misfortune which nearly destroyed the Chapter.
Charnel Guard	Blood Angels (Unconfirmed)	Unknown	The Charnel Guard are a Loyalist Space Marine Chapter of unknown Founding and origin. This reclusive, fleet-based Chapter, whose chronicle threads through many dark passages of the Imperium's history, is believed by some sources to be an unacknowledged offshoot of the Blood Angels. This Chapter is known to seal themselves away in vast stasis crypts when not on campaign, and the Chapter's armoury holds countless examples of weapons rarely seen in the late 41st Millennium. They are believed by some to be a Successor Chapter of both the Ultramarines and the Dark Angels, as gene-seed from both Chapters was probably used in their Founding, though this remains unknown for certain. They were founded as one of the 20 Chapters of the Astartes Praeses, created by the Imperium of Man specifically to guard against the threat of the Traitor Legions attacking from the Eye of Terror. The Fire Claws were once counted amongst the most stalwart defenders of Mankind. The Fire Claws are listed in the annals of Imperial history on many occasions, and have taken part in many glorious victories. Following the events aboard the Space Hulk designated the Captor of Sin, the Fire Claws became convinced that they could wield the weapons of Chaos against itself. The Fire Claws soon embarked on a Crusade to explore the worlds around the Eye of Terror to uncover more Chaotic relics. Over the decades that followed, many such artefacts were discovered and the Fire Claws Chapter became known instead as the Relictors. Eventually, their obsession with obtaining Chaos weaponry was discovered, and for their blasphemy, they were declared Excommunicate Traitoris by order of the Holy Ordos of the Inquisition.

While the Fire Hawks have always maintained they were forged from the genestock of the Ultramarines, the sons of Roboute Guilliman have never acknowledged any kinship, fuelling suspicions as to their true heritage.They have the dubious distinction of being one of the few Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes to have lost not one but two Chapter homeworlds. After being nearly driven to extinction during the Badab War, the Fire Hawks' mobile fortress-monastery, the ancient Void Fortress Rapturous Rex and their entire Chapter fleet, was lost in the Warp in 963.M41. It is now believed that the survivors of this disaster became the cursed Astartes known collectively as the Legion of the Damned.

Perhaps more than any other Chapter of the present era the Lamenters seem to have been cursed by a dark shadow that has long determined their fate. The Lamenters' accursed and haunted legacy seems to have tainted much of what they have achieved and their victories often become bitter ashes in their hands. They found themselves on the wrong side during the Badab War and were thereafter devastated by the Tyranids.

The Raptors' Chapter culture is one that is very wary of the idea of martial glory or honour, and prefers instead to emphasise pragmatism, adaptability and completion of the mission over all other concerns. The Raptors, having been reduced to so few Battle-Brothers so often in their history, have no illusions about what war truly is. They understand that war is suffering and death. It is a brutal business that they specialise in, but they have no desire to wallow in its misery beyond what is required to carry out the Emperor's will.

Unfortunately for Vhospis, Daemons hunting the skies above the planet's besieged castles destroy almost all of the Drop Pods launched towards the surface. A single Space Marine survives, and rallies the people of Vhospis, reigniting their potent faith in the Emperor. Slowly, day by gore-soaked day, he begins to turn the tide. Following these events, the Chapter's current status is unknown.

The Silver Skulls have earned a reputation for achieving victory for the Imperium of Man no matter the odds stacked against them. Of course, this reputation has been earned because the Silver Skulls will only take to the battlefield when the psychic portents that their specialist Librarians known as Prognosticators receive from the Emperor indicate that the outcome of the combat will be favourable for the Chapter. The Silver Skulls' homeworld is the Feral World of Varsavia, which lies on the edge of the region of the galaxy known as the Gildar Rift in the Ultima Segmentum, a thinly settled area haunted by numerous xenos species. The Silver Skulls are known to engage in a number of barbaric rites that are likely to have emanated from the cultures from which they recruit. Notable amongst these is the practise of head taking, whereby especially potent enemies are beheaded during battle, their decapitated heads born as trophies until victory is won. As part of its post-battle celebrations, the Chapter selects the heads of the most powerful enemies, flense flesh from bone and layer the skulls in a coat of silver.

Almost nothing is known about this Chapter in current Imperial records except for the dire fate that they succumbed to. Like the Antaeus of Greek myth, the Astartes of the Sons of Antaeus Chapter are unusually large and robust physical specimens, even among their kind, and they are capable of surviving wounds and physical injuries that would kill even other Space Marines. The obvious links between the Chapter's name and the ancient Terran Herculean mythology could hint at a link between the Sons of Antaeus and the Ultramarines Chapter, but there is no official evidence to back this assumption. There are many rumours as to why they are so difficult to destroy, ranging from reinforced skeletons to enhanced genetics. At this time, the truth remains unknown.

With the bulk of their Chapter deployed in defence of the Imperium around the Eye of Terror to halt the 13th Black Crusade, much of Archea was consumed by the Great Devourer. With a world and a Chapter to rebuild, it will likely take several standard centuries before the Sons of Dorn are back to full strength.

The Chapter’s rites and traditions focus on death and martyrdom, the fallen being revered over and above the living symbols of death and mourning are used as Chapter iconography, the Chapter symbol itself featuring a sand-timer surmounted by two death’s heads. This trait extends to a generalised disregard for the living that has often manifested in excessive collateral damage amongst populations the Chapter has been tasked with purging of insurrectionist elements, and even amongst allied units.

In 997.M41, Hive Fleet Leviathan encroached into Imperial space. The Tyranids, under the direction of the legendary synapse creature known as the Swarmlord, orchestrated multiple planetary invasions. In the span of only four months, the Swarmlord oversaw the absorption of 24 worlds, including the Storm Falcons' Chapter homeworld of Talon. This resulted in a series of swift victories for the Leviathan along the spine of worlds within the Hodur Sector. Talon was subsequently abandoned. Whether or not the Storm Falcons fought to the last or simply abandoned their doomed planet is not known. The Chapter's current fate remains unknown.

This reason for this is unknown, though some suspect the Chapter has bought this boon through dark and secretive means.

Sometime in the 41st Millennium, the Terror Tigers lost one quarter of their Chapter's strength when a mutant warlord assaulted their homeworld, after which their Chapter Master summarily ordered his own execution as punishment. Later on, an exploration team of Terror Tigers rediscovered the lost Feral World of Hannibal, intervening in an Eldar attempt to reclaim the world as their own. The team dramatically came to the primitive human natives' rescue from the hands of the deceitful xenos.
Tiger Claws	Astral Claws	21st Founding	The Tiger Claws were a former Loyalist Space Marine Chapter descended from the Astral Claws Chapter. Declared destroyed over fourteen centuries earlier and effectively a dead Chapter, a lone Strike Cruiser reappeared after having been trapped in the Warp and subjected to severe time distortion. Their world having been rendered lifeless and their Chapter an all forgotten legend, the acting Chapter Master travelled to Holy Terra in an attempt to petition for the release of their Chapter's Gene-Seed in an effort to rebuild their lost Chapter. But subsequently the Tiger Claws envoy disappeared without trace while awaiting to petition their position and was summarily dismissed. It was later found in 908.M41 during the conflict known as the Badab War that the Astral Claws Chapter Master Lufgt Huron had in fact deliberately withheld his Chapter's gene-seed, not to replenish the Chapter's own losses, but at first in order to help save their near extinct kin, the Tiger Claws Chapter. The last remnants of which had sought sanctuary with them in secret. When the Astral Claws were defeated, 200 of their wretched kind managed to escape, fleeing into the Warp Storm known as the Maelstrom. It is possible that some of the Astral Claws brethren were in fact Tiger Claws, and now survive among the renegade warband known as the Red Corsairs.

White Templars	Unknown	Unknown	The White Templars are a Loyalist Codex Astartes-compliant Space Marine Chapter of unknown origin and Founding, but rumoured to be a Successor Chapter of the zealous Black Templars Chapter. The Black Templars' secretive nature means it is difficult to confirm or deny this, but if the rumours are true, then the White Templars are only the second Chapter to be Founded from the Black Templars' gene-stock; the first was the Red Templars. The White Templars' Chapter homeworld is the planet named Sanctum, located in the Segmentum Solar. Virtually nothing else is known about the Chapter in Imperial records.
