• 561.M40 Nexxas Exculpation. Emperor's Children vs. Imperial Guard.
• 666.M40 An Imperial patrol force engages Necron warships in the Yuctan system. Only a single Cobra destroyer escapes; when Imperial fleet returns, all colonists are missing.
• 675.M40 Hive world Vidium lost to Dark Eldar.
• 924.M40 Vindicare assassin destroys Gargant, terminates Warlord Urglak the Unstoppable on Roxanzand.
• 989.M40 Yme-Loc Eldar Craftworld first detected in Segmentum Obscurus, West Quadrant
• 995.M40 Lord Commander Solar Macharius musters the greatest army the galaxy has ever seen. In five years Lord Commander Solar Macharius reconquers a thousand worlds on the western reaches, and his glory carries him into the darkest sectors, places where the Emperor's light had never before been seen. Upon his death, the whole Imperium weeps for the fallen commander, but Macharius' territories soon collapse into rivalry and war. The Macharian Heresy, as this time has come to be known, lasts for seventy years and is only ended through the combined efforts of one hundred Space Marine Chapters
