Night Haunter

Primarch of the Night Lords, his real name is Konrad Curze. Believed killed by a Callidus temple assassin, though the actual kill was not recorded on the pict feed. Konrad Curze let the assassin kill him because he wanted to die. His last recorded words were "Death is nothing compared to vindication".

He was found on the planet Nostramo, a world of perpetual darkness and quickly rose to power. Crime was swiftly extinguished on the planet due to Konrad's influence, who personally hunted down and gruesomely destroyed any criminals. Mothers told their children of the Night Haunter who punished wrong-doers (presumably this is the origin of his chosen name). He was gifted with the power of foresight, although he was cursed in that it only allowed him to see the worst possible of any situation. When the Emperor arrived to reunite them, he greeted his lost son, saying "Konrad Curze, I have come to take you home". The Primarch replied "That is not my name father. I am Night Haunter, and I know full well what you intend for me". Konrad would go on to become the Primarch known for his terror tactics in war.
