The Tau are a young race but they have the uncanny ability to adapt and learn very quickly. also see:

The Tau Empire is located on the eastern fringe of the Imperium of Man.
[edit] The Greater Good
Most of all the most threatening power of the Tau is not their technology but their Ideal of the Greater Good. This religion or ideal has shaped their society into a caste system.
[edit] Tau Caste System
Tau society is divided into five castes:
- Fire Caste The warriors and soldiers of the Tau Empire
- Earth Caste The engineers and inventors
- Water Caste The diplomats and head of communications between the castes
- Air Caste The pilots of the great Tau Navy.
[edit] Tau Allies
Most of all the Greater Good has allowed the Tau to win over mighty allies such as the Kroot and Vespid as well as convert some humans to their cause. This growing Empire seems to have no end to its potential and is still in its beginning phase.
